AIRCRAFT LEASING

RARE AIR arranges either WET (also know as A.C.M.I.) leases, and DRY (or operating) leases

WET Lease = Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance = ACMI
Importantly, a WET lease can only be between two licensed AOC holders. If the lessee doesn't have an AOC it is a CHARTER. There is certain basic information we need before we are able to quote:
  1. the intended base of the aircraft and the routes to be operated,
  2. the utilisation expected each month (block hours and cycles),
  3. the period of the lease (months)
  4. a copy of the AOC and the name of the person who will sign the contract i.e. the CEO

DRY LEASES, or AIRCRAFT only OPERATING leases, are typically long-term leases of 3 to 10 years. The standard DRY lease terms include a deposit of several months (5-6) of the lease rate; a monthly rental; agreed insurance conditions; calendar; calendar, hourly and cyclical maintenance reserves; painting and interior restoration; LOPA changes; positioning deposits; and clear return conditions.

Before we are able to accept a request for dry lease, we must be provided with at least the basic information, and:

  1. RARE AIR must be engaged and the commitment deposit paid into escrow;
  2. What is the intended base of the aircraft and the routes to be operated,
  3. What is the period of the lease (2-10yrs)
  4. A copy of the AOC and the name of the person who will sign the contract i.e. the CEO
